Incubating equipment hire for hatching your own eggs, at your location:
Chick Hatching Program for Schools, Agricultural Shows, Community Clubs, etc:
We supply everything you need to hatch & raise a brood of chicks, including: fertile eggs, incubator, brooder, heat lamp, feeders & drinkers, food & vitamins. We deliver the equipment to your location and give a talk to the students (or group) whilst the incubator is being set up & heating: around 90 minutes. Full instructions are given on maintaining the incubator, which requires topping up of water reservoir and monitoring of temperature. The eggs we supply are from pure-bred chickens. Usually 6 or 7 different breeds from various countries are supplied. The varieties depend on the season and which breeds are laying at the time. We currently have 12 different breeds of poultry. When the chicks hatch, we return to your school or club and transfer them from incubator to brooder. We bring along adult birds to show the group what the chicks will turn into when older. We teach the group about raising the chicks, growth & development of the birds, history of the breed/s, etc. When the chicks are around 3 weeks old we return and remove all the equipment. The chickens are the property of the school or club but we can take them back with us if you prefer. At all times before and after hatching, we are on hand for advice or should problems occur. We set an incubator at Kimskova Park the same day as your set-up, so if a problem does occur we have chicks hatching on the due date. This program has proven very popular and educational.
Poultry Raising Program:
As above, minus incubation. Includes education program, 1 dozen chicks, food & vitamins, brooder, heat lamp, drinkers & feeders.
Or, you may choose to purchase chicks for raising without the educational program.
Health Service:
Whether you're a novice poultry/bird keeper, or experienced but busy, you may like to take advantage of our Health Services. We will come to your property and spray your poultry coop & run or aviary for mites and lice, health check your poultry/birds and remedy any problems.
